CONTINGENCY PLAN IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS

This organization attached a high importance to safety, thus it’s therefore part of everybody’s function to work towards prevention of unwanted occurrence in operation areas. In spite of the fact that reasonable measures are put in place to prevent such occurrences, it still occur. This explains the extra effort being propagated in our scheme of operations to harness safety. Primarily, first aid and medical evacuations procedures are in place in the company’s safety manual. Though accidents varies in occurrence, some could even result in sudden change in the condition of either the human or material resources of an organization and apart from disrupting normal operations, could result in more damage to human and material resources of the organization. This could be identified as a crisis or an emergency situation. In order to avoid more damage resulting from confusion and stampede, and to prevent crisis situation from escalating, it is wise to identity specific emergencies or crisis situation for which specific plan of action could be drawn. All such plans must be practicable within the limit of human and material resources and must aim at;

 Saving life
 Minimizing pain and suffering
 Minimizing normal operations
d)  Restoring normal operations.

Emergency plan is also geared toward realizing maximum assistance at the shortest possible time frame of event.
